This module seeks to provide you with a better understanding of taxes. The U.S. tax code is a highly complex set of laws and regulations that allow our government to generate revenue in order to pay for its obligations and spending goals. 

We will focus our time on the aspects of the tax code that impact you the most. We’ll talk about how taxes work, federal taxes, state taxes, and local taxes. We’ll wrap up the module by talking about tax return preparation and whether to seek a professional to assess your tax situation.
